Start with your plan
Prepare a robust budget that has been properly costed. Remember to include:
- Direct costs: training courses; recruitment agency or advertising fees; enhanced salary or benefits that may be required to secure the best talent.
- Indirect costs: time for managers to coach or participate in talent-related activities; time to administer the process; senior participation; time spent on training programmes or in pursuit of other talent management activities.
